To accommodate the trend towards slimmer mobile devices
periscope telephoto systems widely employ a D-cut structure design. However
such lenses often face reliability challenges
particularly regarding environmental adaptability.Through theoretical analysis and experimental verification
the mechanism is revealed behind the surface deformation differences along the long and short axes caused by the asymmetry of the D-cut structure under high temperature and humidity. This deformation introduces a coma component in the surface form error
thereby affecting the central astigmatism of the system.A relationship model between the edge cutting retention ratio and surface deformation is established
providing a clear direction for reliability optimization.By reducing the number of D-cut lenses
the reliability under environmental stress is effectively improved
and the design is comprehensively optimized in terms of macro performance.A telephoto system is achieved with an F-number of 2.48
a focal length of 15.5 mm
a total track length (TTL) of 14.7 mm
optical distortion within 2%
and relative illumination greater than 36.2%.At infinity
the MTF values within 0.9 field of view at 1/4 of the Nyquist frequency are greater than 0.6;at the macro distance of 300 mm
the MTF values under the same conditions are greater than 0.53
